01 Getting started
Tap the Shifts tab at the bottom of the app, then tap the + button in the top right. Enter your start time, end time, platform, and earnings. Tap Save to record the shift.
When logging a shift, tap Start GPS Tracking to automatically record your mileage. Make sure you allow location access when prompted. You can also enter mileage manually.
Tap the gear icon on the dashboard to open Settings. Under Account, tap the Your name field and type your name. It will update on the dashboard immediately.
02 Expenses & tax
Tap the Expenses tab, then tap + to add a new expense. Enter the amount, category (fuel, phone, maintenance, etc.), and date. Expenses are automatically factored into your tax estimates.
GigTracker estimates your self-employment tax based on your total earnings minus deductible expenses. It uses the current IRS self-employment tax rate. This is an estimate only — consult a tax professional for official advice.
Your real hourly rate is your total earnings divided by total hours worked across all shifts. It gives you a true picture of what you're actually making per hour after factoring in all time on the road.
03 Data & account
Go to Settings (gear icon on the dashboard) → scroll to Data Management → tap Clear All Data. This permanently deletes all your shifts and expenses from the app and our servers.
Yes. Your shifts and expenses are securely synced to the cloud so you won't lose data if you switch phones or reinstall the app.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to your iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → find GigTracker → tap Cancel Subscription.
